Framework
Document Ref: MVO-2026-COOKIE-V2
1. PURPOSE OF THIS COOKIE FRAMEWORK
This Cookie Framework explains how Memovo uses cookies and similar technologies on memovo.co.uk. It should be read alongside our Privacy Framework and Terms of Service.
Cookies and similar technologies help the platform operate securely, support login and account access, remember user choices, protect against abuse, process subscriptions, and provide a smoother experience across the public directory and dashboard areas.
2. WHAT COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES ARE
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They may be used to keep you signed in, remember your choices, support security, prevent fraud, improve performance, or understand how a website is being used.
Similar technologies may include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, scripts, device identifiers or other technologies that store information on, or access information from, your device. For the purposes of this framework, we refer to these collectively as “cookies”.
3. STRICTLY NECESSARY COOKIES
Memovo uses strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to make the platform work. These may include cookies or storage used for login sessions, account access, dashboard security, form protection, fraud prevention, billing portal access, platform stability, security checks and basic service delivery.
These cookies are required for the service to function and cannot usually be switched off through Memovo without affecting core features. You can block them through your browser, but parts of the website, dashboard, login system, billing portal, account tools or security features may not work properly.
4. FUNCTIONALITY COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE
Memovo may use functionality cookies, local storage or session storage to remember user choices and improve the experience. This may include dashboard preferences, display settings, filters, shortlist information, saved views, form progress, theme choices or other preferences.
These technologies are not used to sell personal information or build advertising profiles. Where a functionality cookie or similar technology requires consent, we will request consent before using it or provide a suitable control where required.
5. ANALYTICS AND PERFORMANCE
Memovo may use limited performance or analytics information to understand how the platform is accessed, improve reliability, measure page loading, identify technical issues and improve the user experience.
Where analytics cookies or similar technologies require consent, we will request consent before placing them. If we use analytics in a way that does not require consent, we will aim to keep it limited, proportionate and focused on platform performance rather than advertising.
6. ADVERTISING, REMARKETING AND PIXELS
Memovo does not currently use third-party advertising pixels, behavioural advertising cookies or remarketing cookies on the platform.
If this changes in the future, we will update this Cookie Framework and provide appropriate consent controls before using advertising or remarketing technologies that require consent.
7. CLOUDFLARE AND SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES
Memovo uses Cloudflare infrastructure for DNS, SSL, firewall protection, traffic management, performance, abuse prevention and security. Cloudflare may use cookies or similar technologies and may process technical information such as IP address, request data, device information, browser information, security signals and traffic metadata.
These technologies help protect the platform from malicious traffic, downtime, abuse, automated attacks, suspicious behaviour and security threats.
8. STRIPE AND PAYMENT COOKIES
Where users access subscription, checkout, billing, trial or payment features, Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies to process payments securely, detect fraud, manage checkout sessions and support PCI-DSS compliant payment handling.
Memovo does not store full card details on its own servers. Stripe may process payment-related information under its own privacy and cookie notices.
9. EMAIL, MEDIA AND EMBEDDED SERVICES
Some platform features may involve third-party services such as email delivery tools, media hosting, maps, video embeds, forms, authentication, analytics or support tools. These services may use cookies or similar technologies when their features are loaded or used.
For example, payment pages, embedded media, maps, videos, image hosting, form tools or external links may involve technologies operated by third parties. Memovo does not control every cookie used by third-party websites or services once you leave Memovo or interact with external features.
10. COOKIE CATEGORIES SUMMARY
| Category | Purpose | Consent Position |
|---|---|---|

11. MANAGING COOKIES
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block cookies, delete existing cookies, receive alerts before cookies are placed, or manage permissions for specific websites.
Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Memovo dashboard, login system, billing portal, account tools, enquiry forms or security features from working correctly.
Where Memovo provides a cookie banner, preference centre or consent controls, you can use those controls to accept, reject or change optional cookie choices where applicable.
12. CHANGES TO THIS COOKIE FRAMEWORK
We may update this Cookie Framework from time to time to reflect changes in technology, platform features, legal requirements, third-party services, consent controls or the cookies and similar technologies we use. The document reference above will be updated when material changes are made.
