1. PURPOSE OF THIS DISCLAIMER

This Directory Disclaimer explains the role of Memovo and the limitations of the information shown on memovo.co.uk. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service, Privacy Framework, Cookie Framework and any review or moderation policies published by Memovo.

Memovo provides an online directory and platform for discovering care homes, care agencies, service providers, support services, partner organisations and related information. We do not provide care services ourselves.

2. MEMOVO IS NOT A CARE PROVIDER

Memovo is not a care home, care agency, healthcare provider, medical adviser, regulator, inspection body, broker, referral service, emergency service or safeguarding authority.

We do not provide medical advice, clinical advice, care assessments, safeguarding assessments, financial advice, legal advice, suitability recommendations, regulated care recommendations or emergency support for any individual care need.

3. DIRECTORY INFORMATION

Information displayed on Memovo may be provided by care providers, service providers, partner organisations, public sources, third-party data, platform users, review submissions, report submissions or internal research. While we aim to present information clearly and helpfully, we do not guarantee that every listing is complete, accurate, current, available, suitable or applicable to a particular person.

Care availability, pricing, services, facilities, specialisms, images, contact details, profile descriptions, gallery content, brochures, videos, reviews, external ratings and other listing information may change without notice.

Provider descriptions and profile content may be supplied by the provider or organisation connected with the listing. Memovo displays this information as part of the directory and does not independently assess every statement made by providers.

4. VERIFIED BUSINESS PROFILES

Where a listing displays wording such as “Verified”, “Verified Business”, “Verified Business Profile” or similar, this means Memovo has carried out basic checks to help confirm that the provider, business, organisation or profile appears genuine.

Verification does not mean Memovo has assessed, approved or guaranteed care quality, safety, suitability, safeguarding standards, staff competence, staff training, pricing, availability, CQC compliance, professional standards or service outcomes.

5. NO ENDORSEMENT OR GUARANTEE

The appearance of a care provider, service provider, partner organisation, review, article, resource, badge or profile on Memovo does not mean that Memovo endorses, recommends, approves, ranks by quality, guarantees or accepts responsibility for that provider, service, organisation, content or outcome.

Featured listings, paid listings, enhanced profiles, priority visibility, premium plans, badges, promoted placements or partner sections should not be interpreted as a guarantee of quality, suitability, safety, compliance, availability, results or care outcomes.

6. PAID VISIBILITY AND PRIORITY PLACEMENT

Some providers may pay for enhanced profile features, priority visibility, premium media, booking tools, lead capture features, gallery upgrades, brochure downloads, video embeds or other paid platform features.

Priority visibility and paid profile features relate to platform visibility and account features. They should not be treated as a Memovo assessment that one provider is safer, better, more suitable, more compliant or more appropriate than another provider.

7. REVIEWS AND USER FEEDBACK

Memovo may allow users to submit reviews, ratings, feedback or comments about providers. Reviews may be checked before publication and may not appear immediately.

Where a review is described as “verified”, this means Memovo has carried out checks before publication, which may include reviewing the submission, checking the email address, assessing whether the review appears genuine, or contacting the reviewer where appropriate. It does not mean Memovo guarantees that every statement in the review is factually complete, independently proven or representative of all user experiences.

Reviews are user-submitted opinions and experiences. Users and providers may report reviews or listing content they believe is inaccurate, inappropriate, defamatory, fake, abusive or otherwise unsuitable.

8. CQC, REGULATION AND PUBLIC INFORMATION

Where Memovo refers to CQC information, inspection details, public data, Google information, regulatory information, external reviews, maps or third-party records, this is provided for convenience only.

Users should always check the official regulator, provider, local authority or other authoritative source for the most current and complete information. Memovo is not responsible for errors, delays, omissions, changes or inaccuracies in third-party public records or external services.

9. USER RESPONSIBILITY

Users are responsible for making their own enquiries before choosing, contacting, visiting, booking or entering into any arrangement with a care provider, service provider, partner organisation or third party.

This may include contacting the provider directly, visiting the setting, reviewing contracts, checking inspection reports, asking about fees, confirming availability, understanding care needs, checking qualifications or credentials, reviewing safeguarding processes, and seeking professional advice where appropriate.

Families, care seekers, providers and other users should not rely solely on Memovo when making important care, health, legal, financial, safeguarding or service decisions.

10. ENQUIRIES, CONTACTS AND BOOKINGS

Memovo may provide enquiry forms, contact buttons, booking links, phone links, website links, shortlist features, report forms or other tools to help users contact or interact with providers.

Submitting an enquiry through Memovo does not create a contract with Memovo and does not guarantee a response, booking, placement, assessment, availability, suitability, price, service outcome or care outcome.

Any arrangement made between a user and a care provider, service provider, partner organisation or third party is separate from Memovo and remains the responsibility of the parties involved.

11. ARTICLES, RESOURCES AND TOOLS

Articles, guides, resources, search tools, funding tools, directory tools, activity tools, video previews, training-related content and other information on Memovo are provided for general information and platform support only.

They should not be treated as medical, clinical, legal, financial, tax, safeguarding, regulatory or professional advice. Users should seek advice from appropriate qualified professionals where needed.

12. EMERGENCIES AND URGENT SUPPORT

Memovo is not an emergency service. If someone is at immediate risk of harm, requires urgent medical attention, or needs emergency safeguarding support, users should contact the appropriate emergency services, healthcare provider, local authority safeguarding team, police, regulator or other relevant professional body.

Do not use Memovo forms, reviews, report tools or enquiry tools for urgent medical, safeguarding or emergency situations.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Memovo is not liable for losses, damages, disputes, complaints, safeguarding incidents, care quality issues, service quality issues, financial losses, contractual disagreements, reputational harm, provider conduct, user conduct, third-party content, platform interruptions, errors, omissions, external data issues, or decisions made as a result of using information found on the platform.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

14. UPDATES TO THIS DISCLAIMER

We may update this disclaimer from time to time to reflect changes in our platform, services, listings, reviews, paid features, legal requirements, data sources or operational structure. The document reference above will be updated when material changes are made.
