Accessibility
Statement
Document Ref: MVO-2026-ACCESS-V2
1. PURPOSE OF THIS STATEMENT
Memovo aims to make memovo.co.uk accessible, usable and clear for as many people as possible, including people using assistive technologies, mobile devices, keyboard navigation, screen readers, zoom tools or alternative input methods.
This statement explains the accessibility approach for the Memovo website, public directory, listing pages, enquiry forms, review tools, support pages and dashboard areas.
2. OUR ACCESSIBILITY COMMITMENT
We want users to be able to browse care information, explore provider profiles, use search tools, submit enquiries, access account areas and read important platform information without unnecessary barriers.
We aim to use clear layouts, readable text, meaningful headings, appropriate colour contrast, keyboard-friendly controls, descriptive links, responsive designs and consistent navigation across devices.
As Memovo grows, we aim to work towards recognised accessibility principles, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines where reasonably possible. We do not claim that every part of the platform is fully compliant at all times, especially where content is supplied by providers or third-party tools are used.
3. WHAT USERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO
- Navigate the main website, directory and listing pages using a keyboard where possible.
- Read content clearly on desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
- Zoom pages without essential content becoming unusable.
- Use structured headings and page sections to understand content more easily.
- Access key legal, privacy, cookie, disclaimer, contact and support information.
- Use forms and buttons that are labelled clearly where reasonably possible.
- Understand provider information, reviews, enquiry tools and report tools in a clear and consistent format.
4. DESIGN AND CONTENT APPROACH
Memovo aims to present care information in a calm, structured and readable way. We try to avoid unnecessary complexity, unclear navigation and overly dense page layouts where possible.
We aim to use headings, spacing, contrast, clear labels and consistent page structures to support families, care seekers, providers and care-sector users who may be browsing under pressure or on mobile devices.
5. THIRD-PARTY CONTENT AND TOOLS
Some parts of Memovo may rely on third-party systems, embedded tools or external services, such as payment processing, maps, login systems, media hosting, email tools, forms, videos, document downloads or linked provider websites.
While we aim to choose reliable and accessible services where reasonably possible, we do not fully control the accessibility of third-party platforms, embedded tools or external websites linked from Memovo.
6. PROVIDER-SUPPLIED AND USER-GENERATED CONTENT
Some directory listings may include content, images, documents, descriptions, videos, links, brochures, gallery items or service information supplied by care providers, service providers, partner organisations or other platform users.
Memovo encourages providers and users to upload clear, accurate and accessible content. However, we may not always control the accessibility quality of provider-supplied information, uploaded images, documents, videos or external links.
7. KNOWN LIMITATIONS
Memovo is an evolving platform. Some older pages, third-party embeds, uploaded images, PDF documents, provider content, map features, video embeds, dashboard tools or external services may not yet meet the same accessibility standard as newer areas of the website.
Some limitations may also arise from content supplied by providers or from tools that Memovo does not fully control.
Where issues are identified, we aim to review and improve them as part of ongoing platform development where reasonably possible.
8. FEEDBACK AND SUPPORT
If you experience an accessibility issue on Memovo, please contact us and tell us which page or feature caused difficulty. Helpful details include the page URL, the device or browser used, the assistive technology used if relevant, and the type of problem encountered.
We will review accessibility feedback and use it to improve the platform where reasonably possible.
9. ALTERNATIVE FORMATS
If you need information from Memovo in a different format, please contact us. Where reasonably possible, we will try to provide the information in a clearer or more suitable format.
This may include helping you locate information, explaining a page more clearly, or providing relevant information in a simpler written format where appropriate.
10. ONGOING REVIEW
We may review accessibility as part of platform updates, design changes, new features, user feedback and ongoing improvements. Accessibility improvements may be made gradually as the platform develops.
This Accessibility Statement may be updated as the Memovo platform changes, new features are added, or accessibility improvements are made. The document reference above will be updated when material changes are made.
